Unfazed and unequivocally, I stand in solidarity with\u00a0Nneka Allen, CFRE, COC, PCC<\/a>,\u00a0Mide Akerewusi, B.Sc., M.Sc. (Econ), CSR-P, CDEP.<\/a>,\u00a0M\u00fathon\u00ed Kar\u00eduk\u00ed HBSc, MPNL, CFRE<\/a>, and the many others who have contributed to AFPs, and specifically\u00a0Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Greater Toronto Chapter<\/a>\u00a0(AFP-GTC), with their time, talent, and financial resources and have not been valued and have not found it an authentically welcoming environment.

Take Action! Until there are demonstrated efforts toward addressing racism, it\u2019s time to wave goodbye to AFP-GTC.

Here’s what you can do:

1. If you haven’t already done so, sign the petition calling on\u00a0Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP Global)<\/a>\u00a0to revoke AFP-GTC’s Ten-Star status:\u00a0https:\/\/bit.ly\/3Lg8jpa<\/a>
2. Cease the renewal of your individual and organizational memberships of AFP GTC, until the repair is complete.
3. Boycott AFP GTC conferences, webinars, and workshops as a mark of protest against inaction by AFP GTC to resolve anti-Black racism among its Board.
4.\u00a0Apply pressure on sponsors and agencies who continue to support AFP GTC while it perpetuates ongoing racism and withholds a genuine apology.
